Bye oh beloved Edelweiler

I'm back in Germany. After a stress filled last week in Burtigny I'm finally am at home again. It doesn't really feel quite like home anymore though as my room is full of cardboard boxes and everything else in the house is also slowly disappearing into boxes. After 15 years in Edelweiler the time has come for the van der Gugten family to move on. My parents have found a farm in Schleitheim which is above Schaffhausen in Switzerland. It is being renovated right now and they'll be moving there in September with their horses. My sister, who had her civil wedding on the 5th of July and now has an even longer name: Karin Tobler – van der Gugten, has to do a lot of paperwork with the American authorities to prepare to move to Austin (that's the reason why her civil wedding was so early as Lukas is Swiss and needs a Greencard) and she is in midst of her church-wedding preparations for the 17th of August as well. These days I am transporting all my stuff piece by piece down to Berwangen which is also near Schaffhausen but still on the German side. So I'm still going to be in Germany for a while and will spend my time there mainly working. I have to earn all my money in the next two months for tuition + housing + food + car for the rest of the year which will be quite a challenge. To give you an overview of where the family van der Gugten will be in the future here are a few maps for you.

Berwangen - Germany

Schleitheim - Switzerland

Austin - Texas - USA
